Website redesign for a high-end jewellery brand on Shopify
Jessica de Lotz’s website was built on Wix and it didn’t showcase their unique, handcrafted jewellery properly.
Despite having beautiful products with personalisation at their core, the website didn’t effectively highlight this. Key info was missing from the website.
The JdL team couldn’t easily change images or text on their website. They had to pay a developer each time they wanted to update content.
This meant they incurred costs when new collections launched or product details needed to be changed. And these costs started to add up over the months.
The disconnected systems for managing products, content, and customer data slowed down their workflow and hampered their ability to provide a seamless customer experience.
The plan was to migrate everything into Shopify, where the JdL team could manage it all in one place, giving them control of their website again. This wasn’t going to be an easy task!
We overhauled the site’s front end, and product personalisation was brought front and centre. This highlighted the uniqueness of each handmade piece and made it clear that customisation is at the heart of the experience.
We created an intuitive interface that emphasises the storytelling aspect of each piece, essential for a brand that creates jewellery with emotional significance and personal meaning.
As well as streamlining the product management system, we developed the website so that all content can be changed using Shopify’s theme editor.
New images, text, and product descriptions… all without the help and cost of a developer. Allowing Jessica de Lotz to reinvest this money back in their business.
The new website has allowed the JdL team to independently manage their online store.
Saving time and resources while allowing them to be more responsive to customer needs and focus on running the business.
